Artist Abhilasha Singh was born in 1991 and completed her Bachelor of Visual Arts [2014] and Master of Visual Arts [2016] in Painting from College of Art & Craft, Lucknow University. Singh has participated in multiple group shows like the 2nd Student Art Festival, All India Exhibition in M.F. Hussain Art Gallery, New Delhi; Art Nirvana by Lalit Kala Academy, Lucknow to name a few. The artist is a recipient of the “Kshetriy State Award” by State Lalit Kala Academy, Lucknow and a “National Scholarship” holder by the Lalit Kala Academy, Nation Academy of Art, An Autonomous Organisation of the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
Abhilasha Singh has participated in several workshops, camps and exhibitions like the Cartist Art Festival by Taj Hotel and Clark Amer Hotel in Jaipur ; “Incredible India” National Painting Camp by Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, New Delhi; 1st and 2nd Goa Affordable Art Fest, Museum of Goa in 2018 and 2019.
In her work, Singh takes fish as her muse and paints her concerns around water scarcity and how it affects the everyday lives of humans, animals and birds.
