India
Artist Bansi Ramjibhai Dholakiya completed her diploma in painting from CN College of Fine Arts, Ahmedabad and is currently pursuing her Post Diploma in print from Faculty of Fine Arts, MS University, Vadodara.
Dholakiya is a recipient of awards like the Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy Painting Award, Ahmedabad amongst many more.
Dholakiya has exhibited her work in several group shows namely, “Interlude-2” at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda and International Art Festival Group Show in Ahmedabad to name a few. The artist has also attended workshops at the Water Colour Camp by Reliance in Baroda.
Currently working out of Baroda, Dholakiya uses domestic animals as metaphors in her artworks, portraying isolation and detachment. The artist gets inspired by rural areas of the country and creates a dialogue between nature and mankind.
