India
Bhartti Verma, a Delhi based artist, completed her Bachelor and Master in Fine Art from College of Art, Delhi University. A scholarship holder of the Research Grant Scholarship, Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi, the artist is also a recipient of Junior Research Fellowship, Ministry of Culture Human resource Development, Govt. of India. Her repertoire includes various awards including the All India Award, NDMC, New Delhi; WADE Asia Award [painting] for young artist amongst many others.
Verma has been a part of prestigious residencies and art camps like Nai Ummeed, The Art Festival organized by The Lalit along with getting her work featured in the Govt. of Delhi Tourism Calendar of 2008. Her works were showcased in a solo exhibition at Art Heritage Gallery by the name ‘The Post Human Metropolis’ in 2014. Bhartti Verma has also exhibited her work at the 59th National Exhibition of Art, Lalit Kala Academy, 2018; Canvas for Life-II Group Show at The Oberoi, Gurgaon, 2013 and 2014.
Bhartti Verma's monochromatic compositions are more so a dialogue between the present (city) and past (memories) which she introduces with coloured imagery only in objects.
