Chandan Bez Baruah completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphics from Govt. Art College, Santipur, Guwahati, Assam and Masters in Fine Arts in graphics from Viswa Bharti University, Santiniketan, West Bengal. The artist has hosted a couple of solo shows and been a part of group shows like “Face to Face”, Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi and “Signature of Diversity”, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi to name a few. Baruah has also participated in the 49th National Exhibition of Art, Lalit Kala Academy, Bhopal; 7th Bharat Bhavan International Biennial of Print, India; Kyoto International Woodprint Exhibition, Japan; 9th Triennial Print Exhibition, France and Daejeon international Art Show, Korea amongst many others.
The artist in his series of printmaking conceptually shows a metonymy of micro-narrative representation where we beings are always fetching out to see the seeing and in binary of not seeing.
