India
Artist David Malakar was born in 1992 and completed his Bachelor of Fine Art from Government College of Art & Craft, Calcutta and Master in Fine Art from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Malakar has been a part of numerous group exhibitions like the ones at Lalit Kala Akademy, Scholars exhibition. The artist has also participated in exhibitions and galleries like the 88th Annual Art Exhibition, AIFACS, New Delhi and Burland Galleries Pvt. Ltd., London, UK.
Malakar has been awarded the Rajya Charukala Purashkar by the Govt. Of West Bengal and is a recipient of scholarships like the Lalit Kala Akademi Research Grant Scholarship, Govt. Of India and the National Scholarship to Young Artists, HRD, Govt. Of India. For his artworks, Malakar plays with charcoal, crayons and dry pastels on paper.
