Born in 1988, Ritesh Umate, completed his Graduation Diploma in Art [Drawing & Painting] from Shree Dhynesh Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Nawargaon, Maharashtra and his Post Graduation Diploma in Visual Art [Printmaking] from Faculty of Fine Art, M.S. University, Baroda. Umate has participated in several shows and exhibitions like the ones at 1st Print Biennale at Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi; 4th Bangkok Triennale International Print & Drawing Exhibition, Thailand and 4th Guanlan International Print Biennale, China. The artist is a recipient of several awards and been a part of various workshops and camps.
In his artwork, artist Ritesh Umate captures a story within a story, where the subjects do not interact with each other and have a story of their own.
